Obituary

Angelina F. Spaccavento (nee Funari), 89, a life long Hoboken resident passed away Christmas Eve surrounded by her loving family at her home.  “Angie” will be most remembered for working at her husbands side the late Joseph “Sparky” Spaccavento who predeceased her in 2016.  The couple founded, owned, and operated Piccolos’ a true Hoboken landmark now managed by their only son Patleo.  Angie’s entire personhood evolved around her loving family.  Besides her son she leaves to mourn her passing her two cherished daughters Colette Spaccavento M.D., and Catherine Spaccavento Branda, an endeared daughter in law Myra Spaccavento and a son in law Dimitrios Babalis.  Her only cherished granddaughter Angelina Spaccavento, also surviving is her niece Rosemarie Scoccimarro Greiner, a great nephew Joseph Scoccimarro Greiner, and nieces and nephews, Susan, Leo, Joseph, and Nicholas Spaccavento.  She was predeceased by a devoted sister Josephine Scoccimarro, a nephew Roger Greiner and the late John Spaccavento. 

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, 12/28//2020 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken at 9 A.M.  Entombment will follow with her late husband at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.  Relatives and friends are asked to gather directly at the church no later than 8:45 A.M.  Memorial contributions in lieu of, flowers may be sent to the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corp. or St. Francis R.C. Church.  In keeping with the guidelines of the present health crisis there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
